6D Guangdong - Fujian

Arrive at Xiamen, also known as ‘Garden on the Sea’. Proceed to Jimei town, where Jimei School Village is located. Founded by Mr. Tan Kah Kee, a late prominent overseas Chinese and active philanthropist, the village houses 12 schools catering to varying age groups, including kindergarten, primary school, middle school, and university.   

Visit Gulanyu, a 10min boat ride from Xiamen Island. Architecturally, the tranquil island has a strong southern European influence. Gulangyu is pedestrianised; enjoy strolling through attractions such as Sunlight Rock Scenic Area, Shuzhuang Garden and Piano Museum. After that, transfer to Yongding county by coach (~3hr).

Visit Chuxi Tulou Cluster, a UNESCO World Heritage site, consisting of five circular and several square-shaped rammed-earth buildings (tulou). Each building was constructed to house hundreds of people. Then ride a coach to Meizhou (~2.5hr).      

Tour Yearning Tea Plantation and learn more about the Hakka culture. Thereafter, continue on to the Hakka Museum. Transfer to Chaozhou by coach (~2.5hr).   

Visit Xiangzi Bridge then breeze through Jiadi Lane on a rickshaw. In the afternoon, head to Shantou (~1hr coach ride), and take a city tour.  

Transfer from Shantou to Xiamen (~3.5hr drive), and head to the airport. Depart from Xiamen to Singapore.
