On arrival, pick up your car and drive to Port Arthur. Port Arthur is the most intact and evocative historic prison in Australia. There, you may either join a guided tour or explore the site at your own pace. In the evening, dine at Felons restaurant, then follow a lantern-lit Ghost Tour and hear strange stories about the World Heritage-listed site unfold.

This morning drive to Freycinet Peninsula and check out Freycinet National Park - home to unique pink granite mountains, secluded bays, white sandy beaches with clear waters and abundant birdlife. Take a short trek to Wineglass Bay lookout where you’ll be rewarded with one of the most stunning views in all of Tasmania. Next, drive on to Bicheno, where you can go on a night penguin tour.

Take a leisurely drive to Launceston. Then in the afternoon, drive up north to the picturesque Beauty Point to explore Seahorse World and Platypus House. At Seahorse World, go on a fully guided tour and take a look at the world’s first working seahorse farm. You’ll also get to view and touch some of the sea creatures in The Southern Ocean Aquarium. At Platypus House, see Tasmanian platypuses and echidnas. These creatures are unique to Tasmania and cannot be seen anywhere else in the world.

Your journey this morning will bring you to Cradle Mountain. Along the way, stop by Melita Honey Farm for some free honey tasting and ice cream, or witness a Queen Bee lay her eggs in the honeycomb. At Cradle Mountain, check in at your hotel, then visit Devils @ Cradle - a Tasmanian devil conservation sanctuary. Consider joining either a day or night tour and learn more about these creatures from an experienced keeper.

Drive to Strahan this morning. Strahan is nestled on the shores of the Macquarie Harbour and set on the edge of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Consider taking a Gordon River Cruise to take in the tranquility of the wilderness. Next, take a short drive to Ocean Beach, a 30km expanse of sand. Watch this wild coastline with its mighty waves and treacherous rips.

Today, travel West through Tasmanian’s wilderness and end at Curringa Farm. This sheep and cropping farm offers excellent accommodation as well. Take a farm tour and see sheep shearing and working farm dogs and learn about best practice farming techniques. Consider having an authentic Australian barbecue, with the help of a fully prepped barbecue hamper, beside the beautiful Lake Meadowbank, also ideal for fishing and swimming in the summers.

Plan your trip to arrive back in Hobart on a Saturday and the vibrant Salamanca Market, located on Hobart’s waterfront, will be sure to excite. Grab some local produce or handicrafts back home as souvenirs. Next, a visit to Coal River Valley beckons. Consider having lunch paired with award-winning wines in a vineyard restaurant. Then head to Richmond where you can drive across Australia’s oldest bridge and visit galleries and antique shops. Finally, drive back to Hobart. Check out the Cascade Brewery Company - Australia's oldest operating brewery. Learn how Cascade crafts beers and sample its range of beers and cinders. End you day with dinner at one of the restaurants along Hobart’s waterfront precinct.
