Day 1 : Arrive in Auckland

Day 2 : Auckland – Waitomo – Rotorua

Travel south through the fertile Waikato region to arrive at Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour of the world-famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves which includes an underground boat ride to view millions of glow worms on cavern roof arches. Next, continue on to the forested Mamaku Ranges to reach the ‘Thermal City’ of Rotorua. This evening enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (dinner) and performance.

Day 3 : Rotorua

This morning visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mudpools and roaring geysers. Next, visit Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife. Then, continue on to Agrodome for the legendary Agrodome Farm Show! Witness a sheep shearing demonstration, see farm dogs round up sheeps and ducks, and try your hand at feeding baby lambs. In the afternoon enjoy a relaxing soak in the tranquil setting of the Polynesian Spa.

Day 4 : Rotorua – Christchurch

Depart on your domestic flight from Rotorua to Christchurch (airfare is not included in the tour price). Tonight, enjoy a romantic dinner at the iconic Christchurch Tram Restaurant.

Day 5: Christchurch – Mt Cook – Queenstown

Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains to Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd before continuing on to New Zealand’s highest mountain - Mt Cook. Depart Mt Cook and follow the shores of Lake Pukaki south through the historic Central Otago region to Queenstown.

Day 6: Queenstown

Enjoy the day at leisure. Queenstown is fantastic for experiencing high adrenaline activities such as bungy jumping, jetboating, white water rafting, gondola riding and more. Optional activities are not included in the tour price.

Day 7: Queenstown – Glacier Region

Depart Queenstown this morning and travel along the shores of Lakes Wanaka and Hawea to the Haast Pass - gateway to the South West New Zealand, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then continue up the West Coast, past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to the glacier region of Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers.

Day 8: Glacier Region – Christchurch

Travel north to Greymouth today and board the Tranz Alpine train. Ascend through lush beech forests past the alpine village of Arthur’s Pass before crossing the spectacular Southern Alps. Travel beside the Waimakariri River to Christchurch.

Your arrangements conclude today with a shared airport transfer.
