Heading out of topical Darwin in the morning we travel south along the famous Stuart Highway through the townships of Adelaide River and Pine Creek towards Katherine. A must-see inclusion in your day is the NitNit Dreaming two-hour Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) boat cruise where you will journey through the middle of cliff faces 70m high with the sun’s natural lighting providing ever-changing colors throughout the landscape and rock formations. Feel free to take a refreshing dip in the huge natural plunge pool of Edith Falls (Leliyn) or simply relax and take in your surroundings, as it’s then time to meander our way back through the townships of Pine Creek and Adelaide River on the route and enjoy the remainder of your evening in Darwin.

Join us on the adventure of a lifetime as we uncover the very best Kakadu has to offer. We leave tropical Darwin travelling through the rich floodplains towards Kakadu National Park, this 20,000 square kilometer area is teeming with wildlife, important Aboriginal rock art sites, and diverse landscapes. Visit the Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, the traditional lands of the Limilngan-Wulna people. One of the most spectacular places to explore the diverse wildlife of the Top End, home to numerous species of birds, turtles, water pythons and of course the iconic Saltwater Crocodile. Follow by Bowali Visitor Centre, continue to Arnhem land and Kakadu National Park.

Find locally made treasures and indulge your tastebuds at Darwin's famous markets. At the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets (Thursdays and Sundays, April to October), sit on the beach with something to eat from some of the 60 food stalls as a fiery Darwin sunset sink into the ocean.

Allow us to show you one of our favourite places on earth….. Litchfield National Park. Just over an hour’s drive from the city. We leave Darwin and make our way towards the world-class Litchfield National Park surrounded by thick pockets of tropical rainforest it offers cool respite from the top-end heat. Stopping along the way you’ll have an opportunity to jump on the famous Jumping Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River. The traditional lands of the Limilngan-Wulna people (who are active in the reserve’s management) are one of the most spectacular places to explore the diverse wildlife of the Top End, home to numerous species of birds, turtles, water pythons and of course the iconic Saltwater Crocodile.

Relax at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct. One of Australia’s finest waterfront communities is right in the heart of Darwin, just a five-minute walk from the city. Ride the swell at the popular wave pool, swim in the saltwater lagoon, recharge at the cafes and colourful eateries, have a craft beer in the tavern, enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants or sit in the shade in the lush parklands with engaging public art.

After breakfast, bid farewell to this enchanting city and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
