5D Suzhou - Hangzhou

Arrive at Wuxi and transfer to Suzhou (~1hr coach ride). Then explore the city at leisure.

Visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This classically landscaped garden was built by a retired magistrate during the Ming Dynasty. Next, stroll along Shangtang Street. Start from Changmen Gate, then head north, and walk towards Tiger Hill. Historic attractions include Tiger Hill Pagoda, Sword Pool and Thousand Men Rock.    

Tour Suzhou Museum, designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei. The museum has a collection of over 400,000 artwork, consisting of Chinese paintings, calligraphy, porcelains, jade wares, etc. Next, ride a coach (~1hr) to Zhouzhuang Water Town – a charming ancient town surrounded by lakes and dotted with stone bridges. Highlights around the town include Twin Bridges, Quanfu Temple, Zhang Residence and Shen Residence. Therefore, take a high-speed train to Hangzhou (~2hr).   

Catch sunrise at West Lake – one of the most beautiful sights in China. Attractions around the lake include Broken Bridge, Bai Causeway and Su Causeway. Then take a boat ride and view Three Pools Mirroring the Moon as well as Shuangtou Bridge.  

Visit Lingyin Temple also known as 'Temple of the Soul's Retreat’. The temple’s main hall features a statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni in lotus position. Continue to Feilai Peak, where carved statues of Buddha and Kwan Yin can be found on the limestone caves. Next, head to Meijiawu Tea Village and Dragon Tea Village. Finally, stroll along the Bamboo-lined Path at Yunqi before transferring to the airport for departure.
