7D Kunming - Lijiang - Dali

Arrive at Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province.

Visit Stone Forest and be enchanted by the various limestone formations. Some have been creatively named, such as ‘Mother and Son’, and ‘Phoenix Bird’. Next, wander around Green Lake Park before finishing the day strolling down Nanping Pedestrian Street.

Fly to Lijiang (~1hr flight) in the morning. Upon arrival tour Baisha Village and immerse in the culture of the ethnic Naxi people. End the day exploring the Old Town of Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From Ganhaizi, enjoy a breathtaking view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the most sacred site for the Naxi people. Then ride a cable car up to Spruce Meadow. Next, visit Black Dragon Pool Park, where charming pavilions and arch bridges feature against the mountain peak. Thereafter, stroll around Shuhe Ancient Town.

Take a coach to Dali (~3hr). In Xizhou town, learn about the Bai ethnic minority, then continue to Zhoucheng village, famed for the art of tie-dying. After which walk around the tranquil Dali Old Town.  

View the Three Pagodas, then proceed to Erhai Lake Park, which offers a picturesque view of Erhai Lake coupled with the snow mantled Cangshang Mountain. In the afternoon, transfer back to Kunming via high-speed train (~2.5hr).
